Manifesto
Senior judgement doesn't scale. So we compile it.
The industry has long solved software quality with one recipe: hire someone who has already made the mistakes. That person knows where the contract goes, what must never reach a log, and when a pipeline needs Spark and when one node is enough.
Those people are scarce. And AI doesn't replace them: it writes fast, but it doesn't argue about architecture, refuse a permission or block a deployment.
We believe senior judgement can be encoded. Not as a style guide nobody reads, but as a framework that won't start if the plan doesn't compile. Contracts as Protocol. Typed commands. Permissions declared, not assumed. Structured errors before the first request.
We also believe most data workloads don't need a cluster. They need an honest engine that runs cheaply, and a clear path to scale when the time comes, without rewriting the model.
That is what we build. loom, a kernel that enforces the practices. Periplo, a platform that puts them within reach of every team. Both are open source, because practices only count if you can read them.
We are not finished. We say so on the page, not in the small print.
